Arctic Monkeys-“I Bet That You’d Look Good on the Dancefloor (Live)”
In an opening ceremony that played out more like the British VMA’s than the modern marvel that China rolled out with four years prior, the London Olympics played host to a bevy of artists including the likes of Frank Turner, Arctic Monkeys, and Paul McCartney. While a few weeks back I thought it was pretty incredible that Muse was writing the theme song to the 2012 Olympics, it is even more astounding to see a band like the Arctic Monkeys receiving global exposure by performing at the opening ceremony.
We had to figure though that Britain would have a few tricks up their sleeve. We’re just glad to see them some of them are a bit more low-key.
